CARBON MANAGEMENT
GLYSANTIN® ECO BMB
For GLYSANTIN® ECO BMB products, 100% of fossil-based feedstock required for the manufacturing is replaced by certified renewable biomass, according to the biomass-balance approach of BASF (BMB), verified through REDcert2 certification and audited by TÜV Nord  in accordance with ISO 22095 standards. As a result, ECO BMB products have a reduced carbon footprint of at least *80% compared to their conventional fossil counterparts.
CIRCULAR ECONOMY INITIATIVES
GLYSANTIN® ECO LOOP
In addition to the biomass balance approach, BASF is advancing further initiatives that support circular resource use across selected product lines. GLYSANTIN® ECO LOOP leverages recycled monoethylene glycol (MEG) in formulations developed for professional and industrial applications. These solutions are intended for specialized use. Ongoing projects explore various pathways toward circular resource use, including efforts to integrate recycled feedstocks into future product concepts. Detailed information is available to business customers via myBASFWorld.

Mobility solutions are constantly evolving and vehicle fleets around the world are changing. The variety of powertrain concepts has increased significantly: Advances in vehicles with Internal Combustion Engine (ICE), Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV), Fuel Cells Electric Vehicles (FCEV) as well as Full Hybrid Electric (FHEV) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV) are leading to a wide variety on the roads. As a result, the requirements for engine coolants are also becoming more diverse.

The GLYSANTIN® ELECTRIFIED® product family offers premium engine coolants suitable for all current and future powertrains delivering manifold protection. While traditional GLYSANTIN® products used in ICE are also suitable for hybrid technologies and indirectly cooled BEV, new dedicated products for FCEV and BEV have been developed.
