The KBA number, also known as the key number, is a unique number under which a vehicle type is registered with the Federal Motor Transport Authority in Germany. By searching using the KBA number, you ensure that it is exactly your vehicle type. You can find the KBA number in the vehicle registration certificate in fields 2 and 3 or in the registration certificate Part 1 under 2.1 and 2.2.
